RESITRIX® – AS VERSATILE AS OUR CUSTOMERS
To ensure the permanent sealing of buildings within budgetary and environmental requirements, is a task in itself. Waterproofing the roof forms the major part of this, whether on flat or sloping roofs. Depending on the arrangement of the layers of the construction, these generally fall into two separate categories:
- Single skin, unventilated constructions, or
- Multi-layered, ventilated structures.
Waterproofing membranes have the duty to protect the building against all weather influences, but primarily to protect against moisture. In contrast to merely rainproofing, waterproofing must provide permanent watertightness.
Besides the basic function of moisture protection, there are a number of additional requirements, resulting from various stresses of the roof construction and the demands of the structure itself.
Numerous other requirements are determined by the fact that each individual in the construction chain has his own individual agenda and ideas which are mainly characterised by his specialist activity. The priorities and requirements for roofing of an architect, surveyor or planner are often very different from those of a roofing contractor.
We will therefore take this opportunity to give a comprehensive overview of the advantages and performance of RESITRIX®, from the point of view of the various participants in the construction process.
